Finished!

I didn't want to post any pictures of this quilt until it was out of my house and given to it's new owner!  I didn't make the Sunbonnet Sue squares, the gal's grandma did.  The other block, called Daughter's Delight, was made using Jennifer Paganelli's line Flower Power.  I think it turned out awesome....loved the colors in the Flower Power fabrics!  So bright and cheery...perfect for a little girl.  I hope the little girl who gets to snuggle in this quilt will love it!

Busy, Busy

Sorry I haven't had any crafty, quilty posts in a while.  Things have been super busy around here.  I have one quilt ready to blog about, however it's for a customer and I don't want to post it until she gets it!  Next week, I promise there will be more crafty posts!   In the meantime, if anyone has an extra $79 laying around you could buy me these....it's really a great deal since it's free shipping!!!

Farm Weekends are the Best Weekends!

I spent this past weekend on my mom's farm and it was fabulous! We ventured out and about in the one stoplight town and ate at some yummy diners and gas stations, shopped for antiques and of course went to some quilt shops!

Look what I got!

My new Pigeon Forge Pottery mug....don't you love that owl!

Of course I got some fabrics and what a good find I found.....top two prints are Japanese print and bottom two are some Midwest Modern by Amy Butler....all for $5 a yard or under! Woo Hoo!!!! The Japanese prints are going to be a new daytripper tote!

And then home we go to grill. My silly dogs get all tangled together with a stick and give up on freedom and just start chewing. Goofs!

And while the grill was doing it's thing, we were doing ours...

It was a perfect weekend and I can't wait to go back...I'm a lucky girl to have such a wonderful Mommy so close by! Not to mention she lives in just the perfect little town!

Here We Go!

As if I didn't have enough stuff that was on my "To Sew" list, I've gone and added another one! I have a thing for hexagons right now and when I was Jaybird Quilts doing a hexagon quilt along, I decided I wanted to join, and best part about it: I already had a jelly roll of Fig and Plum by Fig Tree Quilts just begging to be used (they are always so hard to undo!)!

....Although.....If I have to purchase a layer cake too I might as well buy a different jelly roll too.......hmm......

...A Perfect Easter Dress...

I recently purchased Anna Maria's Evening Empire Dress Pattern. At once I knew I wanted it to be my Easter dress. So I got to work! It's all finished and it fits perfectly. Paired with a yellow cardigan and yellow shoes and I will be all set! I can't wait to wear it tomorrow for Easter dinner at my mom's farm! It will be a perfect day! I hope you all have a fabulous Easter weekend as well! Made with Heather Bailey's Pop Garden
